What is Offline Mode?

Imagine being in a remote location with limited or no internet access, yet your projects continue to progress effortlessly. Welcome to the world of offline mode, a game-changing feature that ensures your work never comes to a halt, even when you're off the grid.

Offline mode introduces a spectrum of possibilities, providing users the capability to access projects, create issues, retrieve documents, and update the progress of scopes of work without relying on a constant internet connection. The inherent power of this functionality lies in its synchronization mechanism, seamlessly updating progress upon reconnecting to the online network. In the following sections, we will delve into the pivotal features that distinguish offline mode as a robust tool for enhancing productivity.

How to enable Offline Mode?

Offline mode requires your organization to allow projects being used while offline.To allow projects to be available offline, you can go to Organization, select the Features tab under Settings, and click the “Offline mode” checkbox:

What is available in offline mode?

- Marked projects
- Issue creation in marked projects
- Marked documents

- Updating Scope of Works

Marking a project as available offline

1. Enter the project in the mobile application.

2. Click on "Settings":

3. Choose "Project settings":

4. Turn the "Offline project" switch to on:

4. The project will now be available to view while not connected to the internet. 


You can confirm the project is available offline by the checkmark on the right side of the project name:

Creating an issue while in offline mode

1. Enter a project that is available offline, in the mobile application.

 

2. Go into Issues, and click the plus-icon to create a new issue:

3. Enter information about the issue, as with a normal issue. Click "Save" to add the issue.

4. While in offline mode, the issue will be queued.

5. As soon as an internet connection is established, the issue will be added to the project.IMG_5193.jpg

 

 

Marking documents as available offline

1. Enter a project marked as available offline in the phone application, while you are connected to the internet.

 

2. Find a document you want to be available in offline mode. Click the three dots on the right side of the document:

2. Select Make available offline from the menu:IMG_5195.jpg

3. You will know that your document is available offline because of this icon:

4. While in offline mode, enter the project containing the document you marked for offline mode. Enter documents:

5. Click the Show button, as shown in the image above. This will present you with a list of all documents marked as available in offline mode.

Updating Scope of Works in offline mode

1. Enter the project in the mobile application.

2. Select Scope of Works, you will be able to view all SoW items:

3. When you upload progress photos, you will receive this information:

All photos will be uploaded when you're connected back to the internet connection.

3. When you add comments and complete your SoW items you will also receive similar information:

All updates are saved and will be completed when you're back online.
